Making an explainer/worksheet site for the calendar has been kicking around in the back of my head as a project. Cool to see that. I watched most of the calendar video. Interesting to see.
I can’t help but feel uneasy about this content. Forgetting ethics or meaning, is any of it good? Even if we thought people would engage with this content, do we like the world this creates? Imagine if engaging in jewish learning was scrolling shorts like these on instagram. If judaism became just another kind of content the “social” media platforms served you.
Count me out.
PS: what’s so bad about the existing 39 melachos book?
How do you define "slop?" I googled AI slop and found: "AI slop is low-quality, mass-produced digital content created with generative artificial intelligence that lacks meaningful effort, accuracy, or human intent."
I think some of this is pretty high quality, not mass-produced, has a reasonably high level of accuracy (at least as good as wikipedia, chabad.org, etc...) and human intent. This does not belong in the same bucket as "sam altman and crew dancing to Uptown Funk..." IMO

If anyone can make it, no one will find it interesting.

Would have been awesome to clone R' Soloveitchik's voice for the vid!
